Great writeup! Of note, I work in healthcare and each COVID wave is disabling more and more of our workforce. Each hit is like a concussion--often you recover, but it still adds up. Hence a big reason why the old models are broken. It'd be good to look at the labor participation rate (probably lower) in addition to the jobs openings.
