“The perception that the Fed is done raising rates was part of the recent crypto resurgence, so it will be interesting to see if crypto stays supported next week”
Having read your previous week post about BTC as a QE-policies hedge (rather than an inflation one) I can’t understand why the Fed having a relatively more dovish stance implies crypto will have a hard time going on with its current bull run.
Hi .. I was saying that the more recent return to hawkish Fed (May priced for a hike now, but wasn't before) .. could weigh on crypto. It did for a bit but now not so much !
Thanks for your answer, Brent! Yeah, I’ve gone through the post all over again and realized I actually understood the opposite it said! Everything clear now!
It's interesting to see how speculators are bearish on the US stock market despite the stability. Do you think the current pessimism is warranted, or could this be an opportunity for contrarians? Also, thoughts on crypto's resilience despite negative predictions?
I think the base case is more rangebound pain with an eventual downside resolution in stocks. Crypto got so bombed out and now it's benefitting from USD weakness, gold is up similar in vol-adjusted terms. Market seeking anti-USD trades.
Hi - new reader to your platform on Substack; I found you through Twitter. Can you share the link to BB’s Colorado Recommendation Engine for your posted music video? Very chill! Thank you - great newsletter, BTW, appreciated.
Oh my... this is so good!!! Thanks Brent! Super refreshing, stripped down to pure relevance and even aesthetically pretty much final boss level!!
Thanks Juri !
